The Cottage

Little Barton Cottage, originally a shippon with a granary running along above it, is part of a courtyard of stone and slate outbuildings behind Little Barton Farmhouse.  The original, exposed, roof trusses and wooden floors have been preserved. There’s plenty of room for 6 people in the large, airy rooms.

With a really efficient Clear View wood-burner, stacks of books and board games, it's a welcoming place to return to after coastal walks in wild weather. There is a garden at the back of the house to enjoy in the sunshine. The air outside is filled with birdsong and the hedges filled with wild roses in the summer.  The beach is about a 20 minute walk away. From the garden you can hear the waves crashing on the shore at high tide. The clear night skies in summer are really magnificent, as are the sunsets, which flood the kitchen with reddish light on summer evenings.

The Farmhouse and The Cottage can be booked together for larger groups and there is also a 40ft barn, which can be booked for retreats and workshops.
