EXTREME SPORTS

The big, rugged rocks at many of the beaches nearby are really good for bouldering. There is wake boarding 10 mins down the road at North Devon Wakepark. If you want to sail or windsurf you can go to  Tamar Lakes (15 mins). If you want to climb or abseil Atlantic Pursuits  in Bude (25 mins) or Skern Lodge in Bideford (30 mins) have all sorts of options available. The Ultimate Adventure Center is 20 mins away for courses in coasteering, high ropes and mountain boarding.

If you are into riding there are lots of lovely bridleways and beautiful scenery for riding around here. There are two riding schools in Bude. If you are  really serious you might be interested in the coaching offered at The Horse Place just a mile up the road.
