Local Produce

Local Bread -  Simon in Hartland makes great sourdough bread  - you can either get it at the farmers market or place an order (ideally a week in advance) and pick it up from him , call 07788133738. There is also an amazing selection of sourdough and pastries at Electric Bakery, Bude.

Well Reared Meat - Moores Butchers, Kilkhampton, sell their own delicious grass-fed lamb and beef. 

North Cornwall Food Hub delivers well reared Red Ruby beef, lamb and rare breed pork, bacon and sausages as well as other groceries.

Local Fish -  Fisherman Dan, Bude, sells fish from boats he has worked on & still does, going out from Bude.

Beach House Shop & Wet Fish, Widemouth Bay, Bude. The fish comes from day boats in Looe market up to 4 times a week as well as from the local Bude Boats.

Organic Fruit and Veg - Bangors Organic, deliver personalized Veg Boxes to Little Barton and are great. Orders close Monday midday for deliveries on  Thursday each week. If you let us know we can receive your order for you so your veg will be waiting for you when you arrive on Friday.

Marshford Organic Foods, in Northam (25 mins drive) sells organic everything including fruit and veg - many grown by themselves.

Cheese - Lansdown Dairy, Bude (25 min drive) has an amazing cheese counter with many local cheeses.

 West Country Cheese Shop in Barnstaple (40 mins drive) is a treasure trove of cheeses, many local, some organic. You can order online and pick your order up en route to Little Barton.

Venison and Game - Beckland Game, Hartland sells really good venison, and game. You can buy it at Hartland Farmers Market or contact Paul Messenger to get it direct: becklandgame@virgin.net


Hartland Groceries 

The Pop In (7 mins drive away) has almost everything you need - pasties, basic fruit and veg, some local meat, clotted cream, a good selection of cheeses, frozen fish, booze and confectionery.

 Hartland Post Office  has a similar range of things to The Pop In  and what you can't find in one you can often find in the other - both are surprisingly well stocked for village shops!

 Hartland Farmers Market is held in the Village Hall on the first Sunday of every month  10am - 1pm. Usually there is also one just before Christmas.

There is a whole range of locally produced goods: bread, veg,  bread, pasties, honey etc...

You can get usually get a good breakfast there too!
